#these names I swear

Randomly thought of nicknames and other referrals both canon to AA and fanon to me and decided to write them down XD. This post is just for the main 9 first

Phoenix – Maya calls him “Nick”, Larry calls him “Nicky” more often (but obviously not when with or discussing Nicole), Lotta calls him “Nix”, and Athena, of course, calls him any “Dad” derivatives (we do not claim the “Boss” nickname for her today, sir — Wocky already calls him “the boss man”). Simon sticks to “Phoenix-dono” until 5-5 where he drops the honorific. (Desirée does still call him “Nicky boy”; Armie calls him "Captain Phoenix".)

Maya — Doesn’t really get referred to as anything else except “Miss Maya” by some (like Ahlbi in the present or Apollo, Klavier, and even Simon in the past [until he switches to “Maya-chan” and then “Maya-dono”] or "Mystic Maya" from Pearl. (Armie's rank for her is "Ensign Maya".)

Miles — Athena calls him “Mr. E” from 1-4 onward and sometimes “Papa Miles”. No one else nicknames him except for Larry and Delicia (“Edgey” and “Miley” respectively). Kay doesn’t call him by first name (though she used to call him "Mr. Miles" in her youth), but Maya and Phoenix definitely do. Simon sticks to “Miles-dono” once he got a bit less formal with him.

Ema — “Em” is always the go-to nickname; typically only Apollo, Athena, and Clay use it. “Ema-chan” is Simon’s go-to.

Franziska — Maya prefers “Franzy”, Miles and Ema go with “Fran”, Kay calls her “Miss Fran” from her childhood, Apollo still prefers “Miss Franziska”, Lang still calls her "sis." Most other people that dare try it outside of the circle will taste whip. Simon has yet to refer to her with an honorific out loud, as he doesn’t know which to use.

Simon — Legit no one nicknames this guy, not even Phoenix or Athena. (Aura has called him “Si” a few times, but only to be annoying pre UR-1.)

Athena — “Athie” to Maya, “A” to Wocky, "Little A" to Larry, “Thena” mostly to Junie, and partially to Apollo and Trucy (even Klavier and Robin on rare occasions). Phoenix prefers “sweetie” and “kiddo”. Simon just prefers “Athena” with nothing else attached. Gumshoe called her “missy” and “little missy” up until around 3-3. (Armie's ranking for her is "Lieutenant Athena").

Apollo — “Polly” to Athena and Trucy especially (and Maya on rare occasions), “Pollo” to Clay, Wocky uses it also interchanged with “A-Man” (and when referring to both him and Athena he calls them “A-Squared”), “little man” from Gumshoe when he was a kid, and a heckton of German love names from Klavier (“Herr Forehead” is a very rare commodity around these parts). He is “Apollo-dono” to Simon and "General Apollo" to Armie.

Klavier — Apollo and Athena call him “Klav” sometimes, Wocky prefers “Klavi”. For Simon, “Klavier-san”.

Well since it seems I am in my Trigun Era TM might as well make some predictions! Possible spoilers for Stampede(? and some spoilers for the 98' anime (I just started the manga so no worries there). here's what I think could happen to give us a devastating exciting season finale and hopefully tease a season 2, since 12 eps is so short! I hope we get more. also there's a certain gal I would love to see show up ;)

here we go: I think July might get destroyed for the finale. I'm sure I'm not the first to point out that it seems July is still around, unlike the og Trigun, and it's such a relevant thing I can totally see them going for it in present time. the lost city of July...

Vash knows Nai is in July, that's where they were going, and now Zazie has taken Meryl and Roberto there. hopefully in the remaining 3 eps we get to see how big and crowded the city is, so we can really feel the destruction if/when it happens idk. Nai was able to do. something to Vash in ep 3 that put him in that weird trance, and he might do it again, this time activating the gate thingy so it levels the city.

this poster they released for this season's big climax is not only very cool look at them go, but it supports the idea I think. Big night city fight?? Neon lights and tall buildings and holograms? I'm so down for that nai's got some cake btw wtf

I think Roberto could also die here. I do like the guy, and he is a fun sort of straight man that contrasts well with the colorful personalities that Vash, Meryl and Wolfwood have going on lol but I sense death flags, sorry uncle downer.

He has been quite pessimistic and more or less focused on staying out of trouble, so I could see him getting killed helping Meryl and maybe expressing a bit of hope for a better future, something like that. it could work. Or you know, he could go "fuck this" and retire lmao my man has I'm-too-old-for-this energy

Then we could get some form of timeskip. not super long, anything between a year to idk, 5 years max? I can see Vash disappearing to avoid hurting people again like in the 98' anime after August (Augusta?), and then we get a slightly more experienced, more confident Meryl meeting up with him again. And Wolfwood of course. and hey, maybe Meryl gets to be senpai now! Give her guns! like 100 of em!! Give her Millie!!! Best Girl Assistant!!

There, that's what I think could happen. Now we wait and see, I could be dead wrong. All I hope is we do get a season 2 though pretty pleaaaase? I will miss the blorbos too much otherwise

Time for that dead people/acquainted nickname post I promised xD (I'll be adding to it later!)

Raymond (aka Eddie Fender) - He will be "Mr. Shields" to the unfamiliar, but Miles has taken to calling him by his first name now. Kay often calls him "Uncle Ray" these days (while Sebastian does not), and has actually gotten Apollo, Athena, and Klavier all on that train. Katherine likes "Ray-Ray", but can't use it if Rayfa is present or they'll get confused.

Katherine (aka Judy Bound) - Always "Kate" or "Katey", most people prefer the former. Raymond has jokingly called her "Mrs. Shields" on occasion because THEY WILL BE MARRIED SOMEDAY, YOUR HONOR.

Mia - Maya used to call her "Mi-Mi" a LONG time ago. She doesn't like answering to "Mystic Mia" unless Pearl is the one saying it.

Clay - Ema's been partial to "Space Boy" when they were kids, but changed it to "Space Man" when they got older.

Dhurke - "Komandir Dhurke" to Armie. Some people will call him "Mr. Dragon" when being sarcastic (except for Apollo who always uses "Dad" or "Father" in those situations).

Gumshoe - "Gummy" to a good amount of the people he always runs into, internally or externally (Maya and Athena prefer it most).

Agent Lang - Fran calls him "big brother" for the same reason she calls Miles "little brother" - he came before her in Interpol.

Justine (aka Verity Gavèlle) - She doesn't like Larry calling her "Justy", but she will tolerate Juniper or Raymond using it.

Lotta - Nicole still calls her the "Chief" sometimes, Larry has taken to "Lottie" (Phoenix used this in the Adventures AU).

Nicole (aka Tabby Lloyd) - Lotta calls her by her middle name "Tabitha" when she is super mad (not often, luckily). Larry calls her "Nicky", too, but not when he's with or discussing Phoenix.
